Hate Mail.

I've told Brian this, but it's really bothering me and I need to vent.

Lately I've been getting a barrage of nasty emails from an address that I do not know. It started off as just a few emails telling me that I "suck" and other various light insults. After the first couple, I just stopped responding to them and eventually they increased in viciousness. Topping with this person emailing and telling me to abort and all that. It got a little scary, but both of us know who it is, it's Brian's ex-girlfriend/ex-best friend.

We haven't had the best of relationships, it's a long story. The most I'll say is that we've gotten into a few altercations in the past.

Anyways, Brian has kept calling her and telling her to stop. She keeps claiming it isn't her and since we have no real way of proving it was her, we can't do anything.

In some lighter news we picked up the new puppy today. Brian and her have been inseparable since we picked her up. It's adorable. He walks to another room and a few seconds later she jogs up behind him.

Holiday Family Time and the MOA.

Brian and I got back yesterday, a lot faster than when we went there. Mainly because there wasn't any Holiday traffic also cause my beautiful mom packed us a lot of food. HI MOM! I'm done now.

Brian and I had a conversation about who would write about this, I got to, so please enjoy our shopping trip to the Mall of America.

We brought little Rachel along with us, she wanted to play at the amusement park while we shopped. She is only four, so one of us had to follow her around. Brian was tasked with carting her around, while I went shopping.

I've always gotten really great gifts from my parents and family, now that we have money to give equally great gifts, we are! So I went shopping, since my mom now knows about this blog, I will not mention what I bought. Just to give an idea, Brian was not happy with how much I bought.

On Brian's side, he took her to the amusement park in the mall and claims that Rachel rode the swing ride, somewhere around 11 times. Rachel claims over a hundred times. Brian bought her a funnel cake as they made their way over to Santa. They were in the line for about an hour, before Rachel sat on his lap.

Brian reports that she wants three things for Christmas:

1. Sophie. She wants my doggy.
2. The life size pony. She's getting it from her dad.
3. She wants us to name one of the twins after her. That's not going to happen.

While this was going on Brian got hit on by one of the elves. She snuck her phone number in the photo card we got from Santa. I threw it out the window.

Just to be safe.

Holidays and Random Musings.

Sorry I haven't been making it to all your blogs over the past week, I've been a little busy and not so bored lately. With the baby girls, we had to make our announcements to family and assorted friends. Also, we've been having a little trouble with both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then the usual trouble of parents vying for attention.

The first story from the past week is that we are having a bit of a problem with our holiday plans. We both want to make the trip back to the Twin Cities, to see assorted friends and family. The problem arises from our parents. Brian doesn't really want to see his parents over the holidays, but I'm trying to get him to, for the babies. So over the past week, we've been getting emails and calls about who we are going to have Thanksgiving dinner with. It has kind of erupted into something similar to the 08 presidential races.

My mom and dad both want us to come to their place for the dinner. As per usual it will be full of screaming kids and screaming adults. I'm used to it, while Brian isn't. His past Thanksgiving dinner before we started dating was sitting in his apartment while eating Chinese. Brian may have let slip that my parent's Thanksgiving is loud and noisy, with tons of kids. So their platform, was that it will be nice and quiet at their dinner.

Eventually it was a crazy back and forth, like something on a sitcom. "We'll have casual clothing!" "We'll have all your favorite food!" Yeah I know they both really don't care about seeing Brian and this is just an attempt to show who would be the better grandparents, but it's getting weird now.

We're still leaning toward my parents, because Brian is fairly sure he is going to get in a physical fight with either his brother or dad. Also, the odds of being called a skank at my parents is drastically lower.

We are probably going to see his family a little bit, but not go there for dinner.

One last thing about Thanksgiving, if you want a funny story, ask Brian what last Thanksgiving was like.

***********************

As far as Christmas goes, we are in the same boat. Brian doesn't really want to have anything to do with his parents of Christmas because his exes family attends their Christmas functions. Guess we are going to be spending a lot of time with my family during the holidays.

***********************

My parents have had a little trouble with the names for the girls. They like Katherine, but they think Nozomi might be too, weird. We tried telling them that it's a nice name because that way Brian feels that they are going to be a bit more connected to their heritage. They were fine with it after that, but my mom keeps sending me baby names.

***********************

Just to mention on something earlier in this post, yes Brian's mom called me a skank. To my face. In English.

Big Baby News!

We got a call this morning, that our doctor had a cancellation and could fit us in today. So we went and learned some amazing news! First the more important news, everything is healthy and right on time. Now the big news.

*Breathes*

We're having TWINS! Two little baby girls! We had a name plan for this and they will be named, Katherine and Nozomi!

New Hair and Pregnancy Update!

Yesterday I made my way to the salon and got my hair changed back to blonde, the stylist found the closest color to match my blonde hair and away we went. Then I started to think, maybe I should spice it up a bit for not only myself, but Halloween.

Here it is!
---------------------------------------

In about a week, Brian and I are going in for the 15th week check up and we haven't had an in-depth checkup since I first got pregnant. This is one of the first times we might get to see the sex and if the baby is truly healthy. We are really excited about it and we're are really hoping for the best.

I was talking to my mom yesterday and she jokingly said, "Well, who knows, you might end up with twins." TWINS!? It was in the back of my head for a long time and now I'm thinking about it seriously. My Mom and my Aunt both had a set of twins and my Mom and Aunt are twins. Oh geez... Brian just kind of dismissed the whole thing by saying that the odds for the happening are so against that even happening. He reminded me that my sister didn't have twins when she had her baby. Then he told me he would be twice as happy if he had two little ones!

I have a great husband!

How Brian Ruined my Day.

You would have thunk that he would have learned his lesson about making his pregnant wife angry. Obviously he doesn't read the memos I send him.
He took my copy of LittleBigPlanet (I didn't forget spaces, that's how it is spelled) and brought it to work with him, where no doubt he is collecting all my items! I had my perfect little Sackgirl in my head and he stole my copy!

Brian, I know where you sleep, I know where you work and I know where you are thanks to the computer chip in your head (the last one may or may not be true). So when you get home I'm going to stay up all night playing this game and not letting you play it!

I'm not unstable right now... Okay, maybe a little.

Miscellaneous Facts with Illustrations!

I figured most of you, if not all don't know much about me. I think the most that you know is what Brian has let leak in emails and blogging. I'm here to clear things up and hopefully make reading my posts and Brian's posts clearer.

Fact #1:
I'm a big time gamer, but lately no games have come out that I'm interested in. We pre-ordered LittleBigPlanet and I can't wait till we get it.
I can also correctly pronounce XBOX.

Fact #2:
All the women on both sides of my family are blond and so am I. Wait Ashley, your chosen picture and the picture on Brian's blog, you clearly have brown hair. What's up with that? The answer is simple, I change my hair color every year or so and I haven't been a natural blond since I was 18. I'm thinking though, once the baby is born I'll switch back to blond hair. What kind of blond am I? Well, I have very light blond hair and I'm not too keen on it. I look like one of those creepy girls from Children of the Damned.

Fact#3:
Brian always goes on about how he's half Japanese and he loves being a dual citizen. What he hasn't told you is that I'm full blooded German. My dad is a third generation German immigrant, born in Wisconsin and my mom immigrated from Berlin when she was a little girl. I'm also fluent in German, French and I'm currently learning Japanese.

Like Brian with Japanese, I tend to swear in German when angry and I have a small accent as well. I've only been to Germany a few times and I hope to go again when the baby is a bit older.

Fact #4:
I'm voting for Obama.

Fun Fact #5:
This is what our faces looked like when we found out I really was pregnant.
Good times...

Pregnancy Cravings and Woes.

You might have read on Brian's blog that I had me first real craving since I got pregnant. It was for watermelon in the middle of the night. So I made Brian run out and go get it. Yesterday I had another sort of craving, I really wanted chocolate pudding. So before Brian left the office I had instructed him to go pick up some of the sweet stuff on the way home.

He got it. He's such a good husband.

Morning sickness has hit me like a ton of bricks. I can't really go running anymore, because I've had such a hard time feeling well. It also doesn't help that when I feel like I'm going to throw up, my ribs are still really hurting from the accident.

Pregnancy is turning into a real fun ordeal.

Lately I've been getting this feeling that the baby is a girl. Brian just kind of waves it off, but I can't shake the feeling that it is a little girl. I know I shouldn't even know that at this point in the pregnancy, but I am so certain. I'm really hoping that we can tell at my 15th week appointment, that would be great. That way I can start designing the room and really annoy Brian.

In his last post Brian asked for some possible baby names, I too would like the hear suggestions. Brian got home from work and gave a new one for a girl, Katherine. That way we could call her Kat or Katie.

Reading Backfires.

Before I get into my story, in my last post #1 was true.

When Brian does read he really only reads short stories. For awhile now he has been bothering me to Read H.P. Lovecraft. Have any of you read this stuff before? It's freaking dark. He gave me a compilation of short stories and I started to read the first one, "The Rats in the Walls."

Okay, we have some nice aesthetics and goth like descriptions. A haunting, kitty cats with racist names and a really nice mystery going on. The mystery is revealed! I finished the story, closed the book to never open again and found where Brian was sitting.

"Hey Ash, what's up?"
"What did you make me read you monster!"
*Chokes him.*

Okay I didn't choke him, but he knows I'm capable of it. Seriously, he made me read a book that ends in cannibalism. He knows I don't like that kind of stuff in my books.

I'm kind of glad you fell off the stage at our wedding.

Bored, so Here I Am.

Brian's watching the Vikings game so my access to my TV shows is cut off. I'm going to take my revenge though, we're going to watch the Packers once his game is done. Rachel tagged me to do a meme, so I'll just do that.

I'm going to tell two stories, one is true and the other is a fabrication.
I decided since Brian didn't give you a real good description of our wedding, that I can use that to my advantage.

#1
We had the reception hall set up so that all the important people, like the parents, best men and the bridesmaids sat on a long table that was on a stage, so we were higher. We were one of the first to get there and we made our way up the stage.

Brian was joking around with one of his friends, tripped and fell off the stage. Thankfully for him, his clumsiness will live forever in our wedding photos. He fell off head first and hit the back of his head on the stage. For a second, we thought that he might have had a concussion, but he told us that it was completely fine.

He had to relive his wedding shame when his best man decided that he should add it to the beginning of his speech. One of those few times in a life time when 200 people are laughing at Brian.

#2
Since Brian has made it clear that his relationship with his parents isn't that great, my mom and I thought we should try to fix that at the wedding. In the end that didn't quite work out the way we thought it would have. We had planned the speeches out for the reception. His parents learned that while my mom and my dad were going to have a speech, they wouldn't. So for about half of the dinner Brian was trying to calm his dad down about not being able to have a speech.

In the end it exploded where Brian asked his parents to leave him alone and pretty loudly. Right in the middle of my friend's speech. It kind of silenced the whole crowd. There was only one person laughing her butt off. My sister in-law who has lived with this her whole life.

She was a little drunk and tried to start a "fight" chant.

Which story is true? Only we know...

Take a guess!

My Free Time.

A few posts ago I said I would make a post about what I do on my free time when I'm alone. Now is the time for the post, especially since I'm pregnant and I have a lot of free time.

- I do a lot of reading. I'm kind of like the foil to Brian, who spends a great deal of time sitting at his computers doing work and watching various things. When Brian helped me move into his apartment I had two big bookcases of books and there wasn't any room for them, so my dad let me keep it in my old room. For awhile it was like my own personal library. Now, I have enough space to have my own reading room. I'm usually really into reading mysteries, but lately I've been getting into history books and of course baby books.

- Sitting around the house in my underwear. I don't do this when Brian is around anymore. It brings out the worst in him.

- Just like Brian, I enjoy napping with the animals.

- Writing. Back when I lived in Minnesota I got a few of my short stories published in local zines. So I try and do a little every day. It's nice living with another writer because it is so rewarding having someone to bounce ideas and get constrictive criticism.

- I'm about two seasons behind all the TV shows I follow. So through Netflix and other sources, I slowly chip my way through them. Right now I'm into the second season of The Office.

- Sleeping, being sick and being moody. This is more of a pregnant thing than a normal thing.

There you have what makes up most of the day when I'm left alone. I'm still a little hampered from doing exercise or anything because of the car crash, but I'll be back to 100% soon enough. That way I can torture Brian at full capacity. Did I say torture? I meant love.

Tagged!

The lovely Jenbun tagged me to do one of these meme things.

The Rules:

People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs and replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by them.

People who have been tagged must tag at least 6 people to do this quiz and those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by and cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Get it? Now spread the love.

If your lover betrayed you with someone of their own sex, what will your reaction be?

Angry, very angry. I'd want to hurt him, I do that now, but even more so. Plus, you don't want to make a pregnant lady angry.

If you could have 1 dream and 2 nightmares come true, what would they be?

That's a hard one. I guess the one dream I would like to be true is getting married to Johnny Depp, Brian and I have an understanding about that. A nightmare would be finding out the baby is just like Brian in every single way. Another nightmare would be an explosion killing me, I've had it since I was a little kid and a bunch of the times I wake up and throw up.

What would you do with a billion dollars?

Put a hit out on all of Brian's exes. Seriously though, I would buy a big house and fund a writer's group and contribute a lot to the local libraries.

Will you fall in love with your best friend?

No I don't think I would ever fall in love that way with my best friend. Only love them as a friend.

Which is more exciting while already in a relationship: coveting someone else or being coveted by someone?

I like both.

How long do you intend to wait for someone you love?

As long as it takes and I think I found it in Brian. So it turns out that I didn't have to wait very long at all.

If the person you secretly like is gay, what will you do?

Probably go through a whole bunch of emotions and then move on. That would be the smart thing to do.

If you could root for one useless cause, what would it be?

To try to get Brian to root for good teams like the Packers and the Brewers. It's hopeless though, he's just so rooted into the Minnesota losers.

What takes you down the fastest?

A good sense of humor and an enjoyable person to talk to.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

I see myself being a good mom and hopefully being a published author.

What’s your fear?

Brian. I mean, um, this is a hard one. Um, sleeper holds? Yeah, thanks for the idea Jenbun.

What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?

From what I've seen and read Jenbun is a caring and nice person. Though a bit eccentric sometimes, but that's part of her charm.

Would you rather be an impotent billionaire with a spacejet or a penniless jerk with a huuugggeeeee penis? (women can replace "penis" with "knockers".. or any other anatomical part they prefer)

I dunno, I think I would like big boobs...

If you fall in love with two people simultaneously who will you pick?

Brian and Johnny Depp.

Would you give all in a relationship?

24/7

Do you prefer being single or in a relationship?

I like being in a relationship, it's fun and I've never been happier.

People you want to tag:

All the people I know through blogging were already tagged. :(

A First Date Experience.

With Brian home, I can't do what I normally do when I'm alone (a post on that some other time). So to get him away from me for a few minutes I devised a blogging plan. We are to recount our first date with each other from what we remember. We are not allowed to see the other person's post, or hear about it at all.

My memories of our first date.

He didn't pick me up on time. I was sitting around one of the sitting areas for half an hour before he waltzed in. I had promised my friend that I would go through the whole date, it was an ordeal. He drove me to the restaurant and his car was so loud and it still is. I couldn't talk to him or anything. I kind of figured he was an asshole.

At dinner things took another bad turn. He commented that I looked like a 12 year old boy with the way I was dressed. To be fair I had loose jeans and an old hoodie on and I did kind of look like a boy, but you just don't say that on first dates! The rest of the date was really awkward, we didn't talk a lot and I figured we had nothing in common.

He dropped me off at home and tried to go for a kiss. I wasn't going to let that happen, so I got out of the car and gave him the false hope of a call soon. I wasn't even going to let him near the bases after that date.

Maybe I was bored, or maybe it was because he has a cute butt, but I called him a few days later and we went on a second date. The rest is an incredibly messy history.

Looking at this now, I wonder why I married him.

Oh right, that cute little butt, hmmmm...

Sore.

I've been really sore and having a lot of head aches since I got back from the hospital. It doesn't help either, that I'm having morning sickness hit me like a hurricane. Of course I'm getting tons of sympathy, as Brian has bought ear plugs and has taken the puppy out for more than one, late night walk.

In all seriousness Brian has been the bomb when it comes to taking care of me. Making me all my meals and sitting through The Notebook and Pride and Prejudice (the long version) again. We did a lot of nuzzling and hugging. It was a good weekend.

Hi!

I'm Ashley, you may know me from Jidai's little blog. We're married and I figured I would start my own blog. Don't expect me to post as much as Jidai, but I'll make sure to post enough to keep you entertained.

If you read Jidai's blog you know I was in a car accident and got pretty banged up. I'm alright and the baby is too. We went through some pretty emotionally heavy moments there when we thought we lost the baby. A little worn, but I'm alright.

Also, I asked Jidai to put up a possible header for my blog, but I decided to go with something a little less silly. I hope to enjoy reading all your blogs.
